Dakshin Endeavours offers nature-based experiential programmes that instill a sense of wonder towards the natural world and foster a sense of appreciation towards sustainable practices of traditional communities. These outdoor student programmes are designed to offer sensory experiences that complement classroom learning to promote socio-emotional learning and critical thinking through observations and interactions in nature.
The Education Officer spearheads the learning components of the programmes and plays a key role in designing and planning each programme. The EO works in close liaison with the operations team and activity partners to facilitate these programmes with the support of the field team.
What is the
role?
We are looking for an educator to

facilitate outdoor experiential programmes for student groups across age categories from high school to university
-
design and implement group-based learning activities
-
coordinate with activity partners for programme planning and execution
Do I
qualify?
The ideal candidate should:
-
have gained an experience of minimum 3-4 years in a child-centric role, preferably in experiential education
-
have an understanding of various education boards and their curricula
-
enjoy designing and executing age-appropriate outdoor and indoor activities that nurture a sense of wonder about the environment and communities

be comfortable in water, preferably an expert swimmer and/or certified diver
-
be sensitised in facilitating groups of children and youth in natural spaces and among local communities
-
foster a safe learning environment for children
-
be willing to travel to programme sites and stay for long durations
-
be self-motivated and proactive in creating avenues for advancement in their role in the organisation
